Terms of Service
Effective date: November 1, 2026
These Terms cover the SewerLineRepairElizabeth.com website and its referral phone line. Any plumbing work is arranged directly between you and the independent plumber you speak with, under that plumber's own estimate, contract, or work order.
1. Acceptance and Scope
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and SewerLineRepairElizabeth.com ("this site," "we," "us," or "our"). They cover sewerlinerepairelizabeth.com, the referral line that connects callers with independent plumbers in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and related communications (together, the "Services").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. If you call for a landlord, property manager, building owner, condominium association, business, or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for it.
2. Sewer Information and Referrals
The Website offers general information about sewer lines and a phone number that connects callers in Elizabeth, New Jersey with independent local plumbers. This site does not perform plumbing work, employ plumbers, or act as their agent. Calling the number does not create a contract, reserve a visit, set a price, or promise that a plumber will be available or that a problem can be found or fixed.
The plumber you are connected with decides availability, scope, scheduling, access, pricing, warranties, permits, and payment terms, and confirms them with you directly. Before work begins, ask for the plumber's New Jersey master plumber license number and check it with the Division of Consumer Affairs' online license verification. For sewer work, also confirm with the City of Elizabeth's Division of Engineering which part of the line is the owner's.
You agree to give accurate details about the property, its access, and the problem. Tenants should involve the property owner or manager, and you are responsible for getting permission from an owner, tenant, manager, or occupant where it is needed before arranging work or sharing their information.
3. Safety and Emergency Limitations
Neither the Website nor the referral line is an emergency dispatch service, and neither gives real-time safety instructions. If sewage is flooding living space, water is near electrical equipment, you smell gas, there is a fire or structural danger, or anyone's health is at risk, leave the area when appropriate and call 911, the fire department, the utility, building management, or another emergency authority.
General sewer information on the Website does not replace an on-site inspection by a qualified plumber. Do not open a pressurized cleanout, enter a trench or excavation, handle electrical or gas equipment in standing water, or go beyond your training based only on Website content.
4. Privacy and Phone Calls
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, disclosed, retained, and protected. Calls to this site's number go through a call-tracking service and may be recorded. By calling, you allow the call to be passed to an independent plumber, who receives your number and ZIP area. It is not consent to marketing.
You are responsible for phone, internet, and device charges. Calls and email can be dropped, delayed, filtered, or misdirected, so do not send highly sensitive information by ordinary email.
5. Acceptable Use
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Make false, fraudulent, harassing, defamatory, or unlawful calls or messages, or pretend to be someone else.
- Place prank or automated calls, send spam or malicious code, or create unreasonable traffic.
- Probe, scan, disable, or get around security measures, access controls, or rate limits.
- Reach data or systems without permission, or interfere with the Services, phone lines, networks, users, or others.
- Scrape, copy, frame, republish, or commercially exploit the Services unless the law or our written permission allows it.
- Use the Services to create safety hazards, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, or help with illegal activity.
6. Website Content and Intellectual Property
The Services and their name, design, text, graphics, photographs, code, and other materials belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may view and use Website content for personal, rental-property, or business purposes connected with understanding or arranging sewer line repair. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
You keep ownership of what you tell us in an email or on a call. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, transmit, and use it only as reasonably needed to run the Services, route your call, keep records, protect the Services, and follow the law. You confirm you have the right to share it.
If you send ideas or feedback without a separate confidentiality agreement, we may use them without restriction or payment, but any personal information in them is handled under the Privacy Policy.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services rely on or link to outside providers, including web hosting, call tracking, telephone carriers, maps, and the independent plumbers callers are connected with. We do not control their availability, content, security, terms, privacy practices, or decisions, and a link is not an endorsement.
Your dealings with any outside provider, including the plumber who takes your call, are governed by that provider's terms and policies. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for their acts, omissions, estimates, workmanship, products, statements, or data practices.
8. Disclaimers
This site is a free service to assist homeowners in connecting with local service contractors. All contractors are independent and this site does not warrant or guarantee any work performed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to verify that the hired contractor furnishes the necessary license and insurance required for the work being performed. All persons depicted in a photo or video are actors or models and not contractors listed on this site.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a purpose, or uninterrupted access. Every sewer line is different; nothing here is a diagnosis, estimate, or code determination.
Some places do not allow certain warranty exclusions. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only as far as the law permits.
9. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification
To the fullest extent the law allows, SewerLineRepairElizabeth.com and its owners, affiliates, licensors, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, lost profits or data, business interruption, property damage, or personal injury arising from use of or inability to use the Website or referral line, reliance on general Website content, work done by an independent plumber, a third-party service, or unauthorized access, even if told such harm was possible.
Because callers pay this site nothing, our total liability for claims arising only from using the Website or referral line is limited as far as the law allows. This does not change liability that cannot lawfully be limited or any agreement you make with a plumber.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the protected parties harmless from third-party claims and reasonable costs that result from your unlawful use, your breach of these Terms, your infringement of someone else's rights, or your sharing of information without the needed authority. This does not apply to the extent a claim comes from our own unlawful conduct.
10. Suspension, Termination, and Discontinuation
We may suspend or end access to the Services when reasonably needed to deal with a breach, security risk, legal requirement, abuse, or operational problem. You may stop using the Website at any time. Terms that by their nature should continue, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, and dispute terms, will survive.
We may change or discontinue any part of the Website or the referral line at any time.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where federal law or mandatory consumer protection law applies. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, claims relating to these Terms or the Services must be brought in the state or federal courts with jurisdiction over Union County, New Jersey, and each party consents to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing here stops either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief or using a qualifying small-claims court.
12. General Terms
Changes
We may revise these Terms; a revised version takes effect when posted unless a later date is stated. The current Terms are effective November 1, 2026. Continued use after an effective date means you accept them.
Severability and waiver
If any provision cannot be enforced, it will be changed only as far as needed, and the rest of these Terms stay in effect. Not enforcing a provision does not waive it.
Assignment and entire agreement
You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, sale, or transfer of the Services. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the full agreement about the Website and referral line, but they do not replace any agreement you make with a plumber for sewer work.
Interpretation
Headings are only for convenience. "Including" means "including without limitation." Electronic acceptance and records count the same as paper ones to the extent the law permits.
